Made with premium gum arabic and finely-ground pigments, Turner's watercolor flows smoothly across paper and mixes predictably.

If you've used other watercolors in the past, you might be surprised by the unrestrained brightness of Turner's watercolor lineup. Blues, pinks, even earth tones pop off the page with intensity and style. You may need to mix a complementary color to get the muted tones you're used to from other brands. In our opinion, it's well worth the trouble, because you simply can't mix brighter colors from more muted ones.

Most Turner Watercolor is lightfast — the colors are individually rated — but note that a few colors, like the fluorescent pinks and purples, are not lightfast. Each color has complete information printed on the tube, including pigment numbers.

This harmonious set of 18 colors includes: Chinese White, Ivory Black, Burnt Umber, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre, Dioxazine Violet, Maya Blue, Ultramarine, Phthalo Blue Green Shade, Turquoise Blue, Sap Green, Phthalo Green Blue Shade, Olive Green, Permanent Lemon, Permanent Yellow, Permanent Gamboge, Permanent Scarlet, and Pyrrole Red.
